Herp Societies

One of the best ways to meet other reptile lovers in your area is to join your local herpetological society. Many societies have monthly meetings where you can get together with other people who share your love of reptiles to learn more about them. In addition to attending meetings and events, herp societies are a good way to get involved as part of the herp community and to present a united front against some of the anti-reptile legislation that is becoming more and more common. The New Jersey Herpetological Society maintains a list of many herp societies in the US.
